Àlavita - An Italian Restaurant in Boise

I went to Àlavita for the first time last night and it was such a treat!! We went as a family … my kids are teenagers … I wouldn’t recommend taking younger children here (unless they are really well behaved) … it’s fancier and definitely a splurge ;)

Here are a few of the items we ordered:

  • House-Baked Foccacia served with Truffle-honey butter … I would eat this butter by the spoonful … highly recommend ordering this when you come

  • Meatballs … I’m not a meatball person usually and I would have ordered more … they are DELICIOUS!

  • Tagliatelle … Signature beef-pork bolognese + fresh basil + Grana Padano … obsessed! So flavorful!

  • Fennel & Arugula Salad … Apple + pistachio + dehydrated cherry + lemon + olive oil + shaved parmesan … fresh and delicious!

  • Grilled Chicken Piccata … Roasted local mushrooms + broccolini + house-made tagliatelle + lemon-caper herb butter … my husband loved his dish!

  • Limoncello Tiramisu … this was so good that I added it to my Best Boise Desserts post!

  • Àffogato … Local vanilla gelato “drowned” in espresso … a classic Italian dessert and they do it so well here!

The restaurant itself is so beautiful inside and has a great patio space too! They offer beautiful cocktails and mocktail options (non alcohol drinks are limited here but if you are looking for more variety after dinner, head to 8 Horses Lounge!)

This restaurant is located right next door to Fork and 8 Horses Lounge which are all under the same ownership and high standards!
