Alyonka Russian Cuisine is more than incredible food … it’s a feeling … the feeling of having a home cooked meal in a restaurant. You truly feel like you are a guest in Elena’s home and she is feeding you right from her heart … the food is outstanding … as delicious as it is beautiful … with dishes like beef stroganoff, pelmeni, chicken kebab (my personal favorite), lamb plof (which was featured by Guy Fieri on his reality show) … the food is so flavorful and my family was so happy - even my kids who rarely accept anything except pizza and burgers were eating everything on the table.

Can we talk about the dessert?? When you go to Alyonka there is a rule you have to follow: SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! Every dessert there is worthy of ordering … the honey cake which will go down in my history book as the best dessert in all the world, is a must try … also on the menu: pavlova, lemon mousse, royal poppyseed chocolate ganache cake, and an assortment of tea cookies … you can also order hot tea and espresso … I love the memory of sitting at Alyonka with my family and eating all the beautiful food on a beautiful day in Boise … I can’t wait to come back.
