Best Date Night Restaurants
I love a good date night … for me the perfect date night consists of the following formula:
A beautiful setting - whether view, decor, or both
A great mocktail menu - I don’t drink alcohol and I love it when a restaurant realizes that non drinkers still want something pretty and tasty to sip on
Delicious food - you are probably saying ‘duh, Heather’
For me, the following Boise and surrounding areas (even one in Twin Falls … and one in McCall) bring an A+ for everything listed above:
SALTBRUSH
Looking for elevated dining options in Boise? Highly recommend making a reservation at Saltbrush. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Every detail is taken into account … the drinks are beautiful and delicious, the ambiance is perfection, and the food was absolutely wonderful! What a treat!!
HEMLOCK BOISE
Hemlock is 10 out of 10 for me … seed oil free food, GORGEOUS setting, an extensive mocktail menu, staff that will treat you like a princess (or prince!) … Highly recommend getting the Tableside Baked Potato Cart … it was just featured in Forbes and it’s outstanding! If you haven’t been to Hemlock Boise yet, my suggestion is to stop reading this blog post and go make reservations. Oh, and they have an incredible breakfast too!
COA DEL MAR
Coa Del Mar was one of the most memorable, special, delicious, beautiful, and romantic dining experiences I have ever had in Idaho … hands down!!! I went with my husband and we tried the table side guac …. so so good … the coconut shrimp … delicious … I ordered the hot rock for dinner and he got the swordfish …. we loved both … dessert was heaven … we don’t drink alcohol and loved that they have an extensive mocktail menu with fun and beautiful drinks to enjoy!
TURF CLUB
My husband and I had the best time on a date night at Turf Club … this place is a total vibe!!! Every detail is MAJOR !!! We ordered a bunch of mocktails and Happy Hour food options … their cocktail menu is unbelievable … the chef knows his sh*t … YUM!!!!! So so good … I can’t recommend this place enough!
PIG LATIN
Tacos, chips and guac, steak, even burgers … this place is a VIBE VIBE VIBE!!! I went here to celebrate my birthday and my husband and I have been back several times … it’s in Eagle and it’s a must go experience …
ALYONKA RUSSIAN CUISINE
By far one of my most memorable date nights was at Alyonka Russian Cuisine … the patio sparkles and the food is as delicious as it is beautiful … dessert is a MUST GET … highly recommend making reservations! This place is popular!!
FORK
The cool thing about Fork is that during lunch it feels like a casual lunch hangout … then at night it transforms into a sultry high end dinner spot with endless possibilities … the dessert menu is Heaven too … so don’t skip it ;)
THE LIVELY
Having a date night at The Lively is a very special experience … when you walk in, you feel like you are a part of an exclusive club … We started with a sampling of their seasonal mocktails … the bartenders know how to please!!! … then for appetizers we did the yellowtail and the potato bisque - both delicious! For dinner my husband ordered the blackened cod and I got the spinach chicken tortellini … dessert was the coffee and donuts and the chocolate cake … can’t recommend this spot enough!! And the service was impeccable!!!
RUPERT’S RESTAURANT
Rupert’s Restaurant in in McCall and it one of my favorite treats … beyond delicious food and drinks, best service, gorgeous setting, which is especially cozy in the Fall and Winter … walk right outside and you’ll find Payette Lake. Rupert’s is in the downstairs level of Hotel McCall which is an amazing place to stay when you visit!
