Dog Bark Park Inn - Cottonwood Idaho

A PIECE OF IDAHO HISTORY - DOG BARK PARK INN

When I heard there was a place to stay in Idaho that was built in the shape of beagle, I knew I had to see it for myself one day … the inn actually closed in December 2024 but when we drove by it today, I couldn’t help but make my wish come true and get a closer look … what happened was beyond that … the creator himself, Dennis Sullivan, came out and showed us his workshop and talked to us for an hour … showing us the process of the wooden creations he builds with his wife Frances, showing us the tools, telling us why he chose the beagle and that really his favorite dog is a golden retriever… he told us about the beagles he has made for hospitals to bring joy to the patients while they undergo care, “in hopes to give them a break from only thinking of their treatment” 😭❤️🙏🏻 and that right now he is hoping to build a desk for a local library to bring joy to the people who will be visiting … this piece of Idaho history was already incredible for me to think about visiting and once I heard the story and met Dennis it became so much more … 🐶 I loved having my family there with me today to witness a real piece of Idaho history and hear about the heart and passion that can build lasting memories and moments for many for years to come ❤️
